Workshop Staff

Workshop staff in Formbird FLEET are users with a Supervisor or Technician account type. Assigning a Related Workshop to a staff member's account determines which workshop's activity they see on their dashboard, and links their time recording and Work Order activity to that workshop.

For information on account types and the permissions each role has, see Account Types.

Assigning a User to a Workshop

  1. Navigate to the user's account.
  2. Open the User Business Role Details panel.
  3. Select the applicable workshop in the Related Workshop field.
  4. Save the changes.

The Related Workshop field sets which workshop's activity loads on the user's dashboard by default. The dashboard template the user sees is determined by their account type, not by the workshop type.

Rates

Rates determine the labour cost calculated when a staff member records time against a Work Order. Set a Standard Rate and up to two overtime rates on each user's account. For instructions on configuring rates, see Rates.

Rosters

Rosters define a user's normal working hours and are used to calculate overtime costs when time is recorded against Work Orders. For instructions on creating rosters and assigning them to staff, see Rosters.

Leave

Leave records allow workshop workload scheduling to account for staff availability. Leave is visible on the Work Scheduler calendar. Leave Types can be configured to match your organisation's categories (for example, Annual Leave, Sick Leave, RDO). For instructions on creating leave types and recording leave for staff, see Leave.
