Fuel Requisition Requests

A Fuel Requisition Request is used to record and manage the refuelling of multiple assets in a single operation — for example, when a mobile fuel tanker services a group of assets at a depot or out in the field. Unlike a Bulk Fuel Transaction (which records a single asset's fill from a specific tank), a Fuel Requisition groups multiple assets together under one request and uses the Work Order system to track the individual refuelling events.

Creating a Fuel Requisition Request

  1. From the Workshop Dashboard or the request creation menu, select New Fuel Requisition Request.
  2. In the Assets field, select the assets to be refuelled. Multiple assets can be added.
  3. Optionally tick Locate Assets On Save to record the geographic location of the assets when the request is saved.
  4. In the Locations field, optionally define a geographic boundary for the operation.
  5. Enter a Req. Description noting the purpose or context of the refuelling (for example, "End of shift refuel — Depot A").
  6. Set the Expected Completion date and Assigned To Workshop.
  7. Save the request. The request is created in Open status.

Creating Refuel Work Orders

Once the request is saved, create a Refuel Work Order for each asset being refuelled.

  1. In the Work Orders panel, select the asset from the Work Order Type dropdown and choose Refuel.
  2. Select an assignee.
  3. Select Create Work Order. Repeat for each asset.
  4. The technician completing the refuelling opens each Refuel Work Order, records the quantity dispensed and the new meter reading, and sets the Work Order to Complete.

Completing the Request

Once all Refuel Work Orders are complete:

  1. Update the request Status to Work Completed, then Closed.

The request and its associated Work Orders appear in the asset's History panel and contribute to fuel consumption tracking and asset operating costs.
