Rates

Rates are set on workshop staff accounts and used to calculate the labour cost of time recorded against Work Orders. When a technician or supervisor records time via a Time Recorder, Formbird FLEET uses their account's rates to calculate the cost of that work.

Rates apply to Supervisor, Technician, Maintenance Admin, Asset Manager, and Administrator accounts. They cannot be set on Driver, Operator, or External Supplier accounts.

Rate Fields

Rates are configured in the Rates panel on a user's account.

Field Description
Standard Rate The hourly rate applied to time worked within the user's normal rostered hours.
OT Rate 1 Duration (hr) The number of hours after which Overtime Rate 1 applies. For example, entering 2 means Overtime Rate 1 is used after 2 hours of overtime.
Overtime Rate 1 The hourly rate applied to overtime hours up to the OT Rate 1 Duration threshold.
Overtime Rate 2 The hourly rate applied to overtime hours beyond the OT Rate 1 Duration threshold.

Note: Overtime is calculated relative to the user's assigned roster. If no roster is assigned, overtime thresholds cannot be determined. See Rosters.
