Leave

Leave records allow workshop workload scheduling to account for staff availability. Leave is visible on the Work Scheduler calendar. Leave Types define the categories available when recording leave — for example, Annual Leave, Sick Leave, or RDO — and can be customised to match your organisation's categories.

Only Administrators can create and manage Leave Type records.

Creating a Leave Type

  1. From the System Administrator Menu, open the System Administration dropdown and select Account Management.
  2. Select Account Reference Data to scroll to that section.
  3. Select New Leave Type.
  4. In the Description Details panel, enter a Leave Type name.
  5. Select the save tick to save the record.

To edit an existing leave type, select its link in the Account Reference Data panel, make the change, and save.

Recording Leave for a User

Leave is recorded directly on a user's account.

  1. Navigate to the user's account.
  2. Open the Availability panel.
  3. Set a Leave Day Start and Leave Day End.
  4. Optionally select Snap Times To Roster to align the leave times to the user's rostered hours automatically.
  5. Select a Leave Type.
  6. For recurring leave (such as RDOs), check Repeat and configure the interval, frequency, and end condition.
  7. Select Preview Results to review the leave documents that will be created before committing.
  8. Select Create Leave to save the leave records.

Modifying Leave

  1. Navigate to the user's account and open the Availability panel.
  2. Locate the leave record in the leave table.
  3. Select the row (not the link text) to open the leave record inline below the table.

  5. Make the required changes and save.
